Winter Park Resort Summer Activities
Winter Park Resort, once thought of as a hidden gem to locals, is not the best-kept secret any longer. Families and visitors from all over the world have chosen Winter Park Resort as their family favorite, a tradition that they look forward to season after season. Now those annual trips have increased to several times a year, since the resort has created a Playground like no other, and why it’s known as “Colorado’s Favorite Playground”. Winter or Summer, you will never run out of adventure and activities.
There are so many thrilling activities during the summer that the resort had to offer an unlimited day pass, and more appropriate a summer season pass to experience and choose your adventure all summer long.
Alpine Slide
The Alpine Slide is the longest alpine slide in Colorado. Ride the scenic chairlift up the mountain and race your friend or child down the winding slide. If you only have a few hours to spend at the resort, you can pick your top two adventures and purchase that pass, or 3 adventures, and then come back the next day when you can buy the full day pass.
Mountain Biking
Winter Park Resort is known for its miles of mountain biking trails and thrilling rides through Trestle Bike Park. Known as America’s premier bike park with over 40 miles of trails for all ages and abilities. Trestle Bike Park is also the host of the largest freeride festival in the United States. For those of you that have never thought about going downhill on a mountain bike, don’t fear it just yet, the resort provides guided tours that help teach you how to ride, and equip you with all the safety equipment and cool body pads that make you look like a pro even on your first ride.
There’s a reason we are call the Mountain Bike Capital U.S.A. We take biking seriously, and we expect nothing less from our vacationers looking for an adventure to exceed all their expectations. If you’re traveling without your two wheels, no need to worry, we have several premier local bike rental shops that will set you up.
Putt-Putt Golf / Climbing Wall / Human Maze / Bungee
The 18-hole putt putt course is brand new, and one of the favorites that the whole family can enjoy. You can also choose between the Leaps & Bounds Bungee, the Climbing Wall, Bouncy Snow Cat, Gyro Xtreme, or the Human Maze. There are even more excited adventures to choose from but those are all included in the day pass.
The resort also has several free activities including hiking, biking if you don’t need lift access, 18 holes of disc golf, and several games for the young ones throughout the Village.
