Biking

The variety of trails for the downhill or cross-country biker are amazing. Whether you are a beginner or expert you will be truly impressed with the selection of rocky, somewhat scary terrain, to the dirt roads that are more predictable. You choose your adventure. While Granby Ranch is a ski resort during the winter, during the summer it turns into a playground for mountain bikers. What else would you expect in the heart of Mountain Bike Capital USA. For those of you that don’t have your wheels with you, we have several great bike rental shops with expert advise or local favorites to share.

Ride the ski chairlift up the mountain and either ride your bike down the miles of dirt trails, or hike around the mountain at a slower pace so you can enjoy the beautiful wildflowers, wildlife, and surrounding Rocky Mountains. Single day lift passes are available for mountain bikers or foot passengers, or you can purchase a summer season pass.

Granby Ranch offers summer She Bike Series for beginner to intermediate female riders, providing a fun and pressure-free environment for women to socialize and enjoy a day of adventure together. What better way to get some solid coaching on form and timing, and top it off with complimentary apres riding wine tasting.

Golfing

Golf Granby Ranch is an 18-hole golf course. It is a hidden gem that is perfect for all ages and abilities. You are sure to enjoy the mountain views and the relaxing atmosphere. Granby Ranch offers clinics, lessons, and rentals. Open to the public, this scenic mountain course is ideal all abilities and a favorite among families for it’s relaxed feel and dramatic mountain beauty. Passionate about inspiring our youth, Granby Ranch encourages families and little ones on the course, and that’s why they offer 2 practice family holes for little ones to enjoy with their families. Already have your little one hooked, check out the junior clinics to perfect their technique.

Fishing

Fish the private three mile stretch of the Fraser River with a Granby Ranch guide. It’s a great way to explore the waters and wildlife that surround us. They will give you helpful tricks and tips on how to get the most out of your trip. Reconnect with nature and your family on the tributary of the Colorado River. Experience the tranquility of the beautiful Rocky Mountains while enjoying the gold-medal tributary of the Colorado River filled with brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout. Granby Ranch also offers guided trips through Trouts Fly Fishing.

Scenic Chairlift Ride

Not interested in golfing, biking or hiking, but still want to experience the beauty of the Rocky Mountains? You can always ride the lift up and take it back down the mountain, which still gives you a beautiful scenic ride up the mountain, and then you can walk around at the top to see the beautiful aspens and location of the wedding venue, and then take the lift back down the mountain.

Granby Ranch Grill is open seasonally summer and winter for a great dining option for all our Granby Ranch vacation rental complexes, as it is in walking distance to the Grill and all Granby Ranch activities. Perfect for fueling your next adventure on the mountain, or to relax fireside after a day of skiing or hiking. The Grill, located at the Base Lodge, is open for lunch and dinner. Dine in or carry out, conveniently located near all our Granby Ranch lodging complexes.
